Over the years, Major League Baseball has produced countless incredible baseball players. But not every one of them has stood out. However, the face of modern baseball, LA Angels’ Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, are two of the best active players in the big league. Their combination is a blockbuster duo, and they proved it during their third game of the season against the Athletics. After losing the first game, the Angels came back stronger than ever in the second and then the third game, blasting back-to-back home runs.

The duo, especially Prince Fish Mike Trout, is aware of how well they work together. Therefore, after winning the season-opening series, the WBC runner-up Trout spoke about their dynamic duo after their clinical win and praised the two-way phenom.

Trout and Ohtani, earlier this year, looked like to be on top of their game. Both of them entered the third game of the season-opening series without a homer in their corner. But that changed with a swift in the fifth inning as the duo hit back-to-back blockbuster home runs to give their team a win of 6-0. Needless to say, both of them are happy with their and the team’s performance.

While being on the field and talking about him and Ohtani as a duo, Trout said, “It’s a good time. Having Sho behind me, anything can happen.”

With the last game’s mammoth home runs of combined 881 feet [Trout’s 434 ft and Ohtani’s 447], Shotime and Trout showed how well they perform together on the diamond. The sunny day called for a good game for the Angels, as they won the first series of the season.

Trout would do anything for Ohtani to stay!

For those unversed, WBC champ Shohei Ohtani will be entering his free agency post this season. Even though it’s still a season away, predictions about Ohtani’s free agency started months before the regular season even started.

Since Ohtani and Trout share a strong bond, Prince Fish was asked about his opinion about Ohtani going to some other team. Last month in an interview with USA Today columnist Ben Nightengale, Trout said, “I’m going to do everything I can to keep Shohei (Ohtani) here.” However, how it will all turn out is still a long time away. And a lot can happen between now and then.
