Minor League is where baseball players develop and show off their skills to gain an MLB opportunity. But most recently, Hudson Valley Renegades catcher Antonio Gomez caught attention for all the wrong reasons. During a game against Greenville Drive, he dropped a throw from right field, which landed on the foul line. This allowed the runner to complete a run and reach home plate safely. Gomez then couldn’t find the ball as it blended in with the chalk of the foul line. This, in turn, allowed the runner from second to pass third and score a second run. Jomboy Media shared a video of this unprecedented play on Twitter.

In a Tweet, they said, “Ball blends in with the foul line so the catcher can’t find it as a run scores 🤯”. But the catcher is not the only one at fault for this play. Both his pitcher and first baseman seemed to have a clear view of the ball and could have run and picked it up to prevent the second runner from scoring.
