With the AL East becoming as competitive as ever, the New York Yankees are in for a dogfight. Trailing all their division rivals with only 55 wins this season, the Pinstripes, while still in contention for the post-season, know that it will be tough from here. And the frustration is also getting to the players in the lineup.

Very little is going right for the Bronx Bombers, and it’s not all down to fate. The Yankees boast a vaunted batting lineup this season. Headlined by 2022 Home Run king?Aaron Judge, DJ LeMahieu, and catcher Kyle Higashioka are no slouches. But the offense needs to be clicking.

The Yankees: A Masterclass in Swinging (But Not Hitting)

The New York Yankees appear to be a faltering franchise in 2023. While boasting one of the highest payrolls in Major League Baseball with some of its most marketable stars, the performances on the field are just lacking.

And in perhaps a more damning statistic, no batter from the Yankees emerged to take on the mantle to hit the team to victory. With 18 Yankees striking out of the regulation 27 outs, a season record for 2023, the offense will need to kick into gear soon if the Yankees want any portion of the postseason.
