However, this was not the case when the Toronto Blue Jays pitcher’s family went through an inconvenience recently. The player took to Twitter feeling disgruntled. While Bass was fulfilling his MLB duties in the ballpark, his pregnant wife with two daughters was traveling via United Airlines. Kids being kids threw tantrums, and the couple’s younger daughter made a mess around them by spilling popcorn over the floor of their flight.
However, after that, the cabin crew apparently forced Bass’s 22-week pregnant wife to get on her hands and knees to clear up the mess. The baseball player was enraged after getting to know about this incident. He posted a picture of his daughters and their popcorn mess on his Twitter handle as he complained about the airline.
The flight attendant @united just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with a 5 year old and 2 year old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?! pic.twitter.com/vLYyLyJC54

However, baseball fans turned on him instead of sympathizing with him and called him out for being entitled.
How are fans reacting to the Jays ace’s comments?
A majority of fans are calling him out for wrongfully using his privilege publicly. However, there are also a few who think that forcing his wife to clean up the mess being 22 weeks pregnant wasn’t right but feel that this issue could have been handled in a better way.
Following are some of the fans’ reactions toward the MLB pitcher sharing about the problem faced by his family.
If your child is messy, you need to clean up after them. Do better as a parent.

Entitled much?
I have a great idea 💡
Maybe not give your child something that is going to create a massive mess?Just because they have a cleaning crew, it doesn't mean that people should disrespect them by creating more of a mess.
I'm a parent as well, it's called "respect"

Sorry Anthony, as a mom, most of us would have just picked it up without being asked

Good. Your attititude toward the service industry is disgusting. Humble yourself.

💯. Everyone sucks in this situation.

It’s one thing if they were throwing it around. That doesn’t look like a big enough mess to make a pregnant woman get on her hands and knees over. If someone had asked me to do that at 22 weeks, I wouldn’t have been able to get back up easily lol. It’s odd that someone would ask…

Genuinely curious why your wife didn’t speak to customer service after instead of posting a picture of the mess on social media and claiming someone forced her to go on her hands and knees to clean it OR ELSE!!!!

While many say Bass was wrong to use his privilege this way, there are also people who are saying that the athlete should have more respect for the service industry and that everyone in this situation somehow seems wrong.
