Another game and the Shotime, Shohei Ohtani has done it once again. He has broken a personal record this time. But this time, the record came with a blister on his hand. Due to the friction between the ball and the end of the fingers, pitchers are often prone to get blisters.

Considering that the Angels have a pretty hard shot to get into the playoffs, Ohtani should not have to take on so much pressure. And taking rest will help him to become an even better player.

Last night, Minute Maid Park became the spectator of the two-way star’s fastest pitch of his career in Major Leagues.

How fast did the Shotime Shohei Ohtani throw the pitch?

Even though the ball might or might not have given blisters to the two-way all-star player, he managed to throw the fastest pitch of his MLB career.

Ohtani recorded a massive speed of 101.4 mph against the Houston Astros. He led the team towards a win and allowed one run on six hits while striking out seven batters in five innings.      

His play during the game led the team to a win. But unfortunately, because of the injury, he could not stay till the end of the game. As the sixth inning started, he left the game before the injury turned into a major one.

With yesterday’s win against the Astros, the Angels are now at 61-78 in the American League.

There have been many discussions on who will become the MVP this year. The top two contenders on this year’s AL MVP list are Angels’ Shohei Ohtani, and Yankees’ Aaron Judge.

One other player who is in the race is the Astros baseman, Jose Altuve. Among the three players, Judge, with 55 home runs, has 118 RBI, whereas Ohtani and Altuve have 33-86 and 24-52 respectively.
