Batters are a key factor in any change made by the MLB. Though the overall change affects all the parties involved, any increase in pitching speeds will affect batters more. The conversation started when they asked Trout about the reason for his increased strikeouts. Notably, Trout’s average has fallen below 0.120 in June while facing fastballs. Mike Trout addressed the issue surrounding his performances at the plate. He shared, “Obviously, I haven’t been myself, but last week or so I’ve been better, but no. Sometimes you gotta be honest with yourself, but it’s a different ball game in that box right now.”
Reflecting on the increase in speed, Trout shared his take on the future. He added, “It’s different and like I said, I’m just looking into the future, man. It’s, phew. You got guys – I mean, you got – I got my boy Joyce coming out of the pen on 104.”
