Spring Training has been an up-and-down affair with injuries, big moments, and shocking results. The Cleveland Guardians have weathered that storm well and are ready for the 2023 MLB regular season. When talking about their previous season, the Guardians finished 2022 with 92 wins at the top of the AL Central division. But despite winning the AL Central, they suffered an early postseason exit.
This off-season, the Terry Francona-led team made a few small moves, adding to their roster. The Guardians generally don’t spend a heavy chunk on players and are regularly at the bottom of MLB’s payrolls. But most recently, they made fans happy with contract extension talks for one of their star players.
