Before his next at-bat, Torre came to him, and he said, “Hey, young man, think small and big things will happen.” While his next at-bat, Rodriguez and Torre made eye contact, and once again, he repeated to “think small.” As Alex absorbed this advice, in the next moment, his slump was over, and he had hit an absolutely amazing home run.

During the 10X show with Grant Cardone in 2021, the former Yankee explained how thinking small led to one of the biggest moments of his career. Talking to Cardone, and the audience, A-Rod said, “I know this is a big, large room, and we like to think big, but if you execute the small things, big things will start happening when you don’t even expect them.”
