The news around the Los Angeles Dodgers has suddenly caught a loud buzz. Amidst ongoing off-season discussions, dual-powered Shohei Ohtani, the most eligible one in the free agency market, is the first choice. There is an alternative, equally good pick available, though. This factors into how well this player is placed next to the $365M rival. Would it be wise to bet on that?
3x AL MVP is rumored to ask for a trade, and if so, the Angels will likely comply. If and when that happens, it would open a gateway for the Dodgers to approach Mike Trout. As speculative as this may be, this could be a game changer. How?
An Interesting Pairing Possibility For The Dodgers

Angles’ Mike Trout and Dodgers’ Mookie Betts played together earlier this year representing Team USA in World Baseball Classic. They fit well together and were nothing short of a spectacle to watch. That being said, the Dodgers could definitely use some outfield assistance alongside Mookie Betts.
As reported by Zachary D. Rymer of Bleacher Report, “He and Betts played together at this year’s World Baseball Classic and generally seem tight. Otherwise, contenders don’t get more consistent than the Dodgers”.
Aside from being tied together as players, they are great friends outside the diamond. As a throwback to their 2018 MVP race days, Betts and Trout developed a friendship leading to otherworldly performances from both. With that, the 30-year-old Mookie revealed why he wanted to play for the American squad this year.
Betts even said that one of his primary motivations was to play with “Mikey” or Mike Trout. “Mikey, he texted me and he told me he wanted me to play, and I told him I’ll play with him. We don’t get to share the field very often,” explained Dodgers’ $365M outfielder how WBC would be a great gig.
If Mike were to join the Dodgers, he could get irrefusable packages.

Bleacher Reporter, Zachary suggested some trade packages considering Trout’s hypothetical move to the Dodgers. One of them would be sending him up the Los Angeles’ I-5 freeway.
In the possible deal, the Dodgers get Trout, the starting pitcher Patrick Sandoval, and an additional $70 million. This is to add to Trout’s remainder of the contract.

The proposals are quite interesting; however, would it become a reality? Call it an unlikely possibility, but it is a good one! Something to look forward to.
