Juan Soto?

Well, the name on everyone’s lips is Juan Soto, who was front and center during the press conference announcing Manny Machado’s contract extension. Padres’ fans couldn’t help but notice the sly expression on Soto’s face, hinting he might have some news of his own to share soon. And now, there’s even more reason for fans to get excited. According to a piece of recent news by Padres beat writer Kevin Acee, there’s strong speculation among fans that further proves that Soto is in talks to sign a new contract with the team.

There’s a hum in the air among baseball fans as rumors swirl about the future of outfielder Juan Soto. Recently, Kevin Acee reported that Soto would be staying behind in camp for a few extra days while his Dominican Republic World Baseball Classic teammates flew to Florida to receive treatment on his left calf.

And although the sudden injury might actually exist, fans aren’t so sure about that explanation. The question on their mind is, could it be that Soto is actually staying behind to finalize a new contract extension with the Padres before he heads off to the WBC?

In fact, they are about to dive into the deep waters once again, and turn over their deep pockets in pursuit of Juan Soto as well as Josh Hader, as the rumors say.
