Before this season started, the New York Yankees offered their outfielder Aaron Judge a contract extension of seven years for $213 million. However, the slugger refused the same. It seems Judge believes he deserves more than what he was offered. And with the season that the slugger had this year, it is fair to say he proved his worth to be much more than what the management thought it was.

Entering the 2023 season, Judge will be a free agent, and it would be all on him to decide which team he wants to play for. Notably, Judge is the record holder of the most home runs scored in a single season in the American League. To achieve the same, he hit 62 homers this year, breaking the record of legendary Roger Maris.
Even before hitting 50, debate among the fans about Judge’s transfer was on a high. Not to mention, the Yankees management has also said that they very much would like to have Judge stay as a Yankee. Coming forward this time, it’s the Yankees GM who answered the much-asked question.
What did Brian Cashman say about the contract extension of Aaron Judge?
Aaron Judge has shown every baseball team what a tremendous player he is. And if the Yanks want him to continue wearing Pinstripes, they would have to make him an offer he can’t refuse. In an interview a couple of hours ago, General Manager Brian Cashman answered the question about Judge’s contract.

The reporter asked Cashman if the management has offered him another contract after the one they did during spring training this year. To this, Cashman said, “I’m gonna have to go no comment on that… We’d love to bring Aaron Judge back and maintain him being a member of this franchise.”
This cryptic reply from Cashman could mean anything. Either the Yankees have already made an offer, and they’re not allowed to talk about it. Or maybe they’re waiting to see what another team might offer Judge.
How did fans react to Cashman’s reply?
Fans are certainly upset to hear the same statement from the management once again and have no new update on Judge’s contract.
How many times have we heard this exact statement 🤮

“We want to” Yankees go to phrase about everything instead of doing it.

Pay him then, simple as that. If he walks it’s on Cashman, should’ve given him what he wanted when he had the chance.

Some criticized Cashman himself and suggested he leave the team.
Bring judge back not Cashman!!
