Shortly after meeting pop icon Jennifer Lopez in 2017, they started dating. Together they became one of the most powerful couples in the entire Hollywood. In their quest to remain at the top, the ex-celeb couple, with a group of investors, tried to buy the MLB franchise, New York Mets, in 2020.

However, they could not compete with the billionaire Steve Cohen’s bid of $2.4 billion and lost the chance of buying the Metropolitans. Now, after three years of losing the deal to Cohen, former Yankee’s ex-fiancee recently struck a deal with one of the investors, who wanted to buy the Mets with her and A-Rod.

Even though the former couple’s combined net worth was somewhat close to a billion dollars, it wasn’t enough to buy the Mets. Therefore, they had a few investors join them to help complete the purchase. Among those investors was sports drink, BodyArmor’s CEO Mike Repole.

However, one would expect that after the deal fell through, neither A-Rod nor JLo might remain connected to the investors for long, unless they were already friends.

But after three years of the failed Mets’ deal, the pop icon struck a multimillion deal with BodyArmor. Notably, since JLo is a Hollywood icon, countless opportunities are lined up all the time, and a deal like this is always around the corner for JLo.

A-Rod and JLo stayed in a relationship for a total of four years. Together, they invested in multiple ventures. Even though they never shared finances, at the time of their separation, it was a tough task for their lawyers to handle everything in their ventures and share between the two parties.

Therefore, the lawyers were relieved that the ex-celeb couple’s New York Mets deal did not go through. Because if it had, it would have created much more ruckus for both parties.
