New York Yankees, established in 1903, hold the distinguished title of being the most accomplished and successful team in the annals of American Major League sports and, to a great extent, the global arena. With staggering 27 World Championship titles, their dominance is undeniable, and it is no surprise that they boast a vast and passionate fanbase who fiercely defend their beloved team. However, the Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. found the wrong side of this fierce fan base after making a bold claim but forgetting to fact-check.
Unfortunately, with an excessively overconfident tone, the Canadian-born baseman, who’s astounded the world with his abilities, made a comment without running it through the numbers. As a result, no one could save him. And he’s now a victim of the ferocious New Yorker’s attack.
What did Vlady say to offend New York Yankees fans?

The young girl asked, “Which team was the easiest to play?” Guerrero Jr., who made his debut with the Blue Jays in 2019, with two All-Star appearances already, responded to the question with an excessively bold name – “The Yankees.”
However, out of the 19 games the New York Yankees played against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Pinstripes significantly topped the Blue Jays with 11 victories. In addition to that, the Bronx Bombers clinched the American League East Division with a significant lead over the Blue Jays (0.568) at 0.611.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gets roasted by New Yorkers:
But obviously, one can’t make a bold statement like this without precise fact-checking. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. managed to find the heat of New Yorkers, who made sure to point out Guerrero’s failure against the Yanks, along with the Blue Jays’ record against the Yanks in 2022.
Still very thankful for him letting us celebrate in his house🙏🙏 pic.twitter.com/YHfg9JRgNG

All the Blue Jays do is talk. Try winning a playoff series or division title.
