Since stepping away from baseball, Alex Rodriguez has built a business empire and has revived his image. Therapy has played a big part in that evolution for the former MLB star. Most recently, he appeared on the Club30 podcast and spoke about his career, among other topics. Rodriguez opened up about how he grew up surrounded by ‘bullsh*t’ and ‘bullsh*t-ers’ and therapy helped him deal with that. Furthermore, the Yankees legend was also able to speak his truth.

During the podcast, Rodriguez said, “But I think I was kind of raised in an environment with a bunch of bs-ers. And, I grew up not knowing the difference between someone who’s giving it to me straight or someone bs-ing me. Because all I knew was bs. So, as a result, I sounded like a bs-er, and I didn’t understand why people said, ‘Why aren’t you being authentic?’

He added, “And I’m like I’m trying to be authentic. And you know, looking back, even though I was trying to be authentic, it sounded like I was full of crap. So, I think 1,  it helped me identify bs artists from not, also it helped me deal with my truth much better and come from a position of truth.”
