Alex Rodriguez’s Nephew Shocks His Girlfriend and Loved Ones With a Brave and Heartfelt Move

While it’s been six years since Alex Rodriguez left the park, A-Rod’s family was never ready to bid adieu to baseball. Analogous to that, A-Rod’s nephew entered the Marlins set-up in the 2017 MLB draft as the 51st selection. Now, two years since the Yankee superstar’s engagement with Jennifer Lopez came to an end, his 27-year-old nephew got engaged.

And adding to the list of 696 family home runs, A-Rod’s nephew Joseph Durand Jr. hit a grand slam with his proposal. The news came to light through Joe’s mother, Susy Dunand’s Instagram stories.

As evidenced by Susy Dunand’s Instagram stories, the engagement was a relaxed and joyous occasion, with plenty of laughter and love to go around.

Celebrations Abound in the Rodriguez-Dunand Household

While Alex Rodriguez wasn’t present to celebrate his nephew’s special moment, the entire Rodriguez-Dunand clan collected at Susy and Joe Dunand’s house for the occasion.

The engagement party included Joe Dunand Jr.’s father, Joe Dunand, A-Rod’s two daughters, and his fiance, Caro’s family, alongside multiple friends and family. Undoubtedly, A-Rod’s presence would’ve made the occasion so much more special.

Joe and his now-fiance have been together for over five years, as indicated by an Instagram post of the couple from 2018.

Joe, on the other hand, made his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins, on May 7th, 2022, and hit a homer in his first at-bat. However, the Marlins designated him on assignment by the end of May, before the Braves acquired him in June. Now, Dunand awaits his next major league appearance as he continues to start with the Braves’ triple-A affiliate Gwinnett Stripers.

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, who started dating in 2017, announced their engagement in 2019. All through their relationship, while A-Rod stood as a perfect husband and fiance, he also gradually transformed into a perfect family man. Unfortunately, his relationship with Jennifer Lopez came to an end in 2021.
