In his younger days, Alex Rodriguez was a highly-touted prospect that Major League Baseball fans loved. A player with raw talent, he was popular with fans, especially for his sometimes explicit interviews. Does anyone remember a certain infamous Esquire interview about Derek Jeter? In a different discussion in 1998, A-Rod once said that singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was his dream date. Years and years later, his wish came true.
Given the ballplayer’s status, it was only natural that some high-profile women would be linked to him. But J-Lo came into his life after A-Rod retired from the game. The couple was together for four years, two of them spent as fiancees; but then in 2021, they announced a split. Since then, the ex-partners have moved on to new people and new ventures. In fact, J-Lo just launched a new beverage and filmed a commercial in Europe.

Jennifer Lopez goes to Italy to film an ad for Delola
Delola is the singer’s newest project, an alcoholic beverage inspired by the Italian coast. More than the gorgeous views and rich history, the European country is perhaps most famous for its wine. As well as a variety of other liqueurs and spirits that are apparently hard to find elsewhere in the world.

Inspired by this, Lopez created her own brand of alcohol, called Delola. In a video introducing the item, J-Lo said, “I have been grinding non-stop for decades, and more and more I’m realizing the importance of enjoying life. I just wanted to create something better — something better tasting, better ingredients, something I would want to drink with my friends and family, and that is Delola.”

The name Delola has a sweet story behind its inspiration
Last week, Lopez and her team wrote on a video montage of the photo shoot, “Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets...” Lola is actually the singer’s nickname and reflects her ‘more playful, carefree side,’ as stated in a press release from earlier this month.
