In an encounter at a 1994 baseball game, A-Rod’s father made an appearance, but the then-young A-Rod wasn’t ready to reconcile. It would take another seven years and the encouragement of Cynthia to finally bring together the father and son. On Father’s Day in 2000. Alex and his father reunited.
The moment of reconciliation
The love and forgiveness had been long overdue. The reunion for sure was an emotional one, and in a way to show his father that he had forgiven him, Alex Rodriguez, in a game that day hit not one but two home runs. He pointed to his father in the stands after each home run and it was clear that the journey towards healing had begun for A-Rod at that moment.
