Alex Rodriguez’s Ex-Fiancee Jennifer Lopez Once Revealed the First Thing She Would Do if Their $2.3 Billion MLB Dream Came True

The infamous deal of the former baseball player Alex Rodriguez and his ex-fiance, Jennifer Lopez, trying and failing to buy the New York Mets is something the MLB world still looks back at. The duo, as a couple, in 2020, tried to buy the team and put all their efforts into it, but they still couldn’t make it happen. 

With a group of investors, the famous couple in the industry had acquired $1.7 billion. Out of which, the couple had put $300 million of their own hard-earned money. It was important for Lopez to buy the Mets as it was her father’s favorite baseball team. Therefore, when the deal fell apart, they were rather disappointed. The actress even took to her Instagram to share her thoughts over losing out to billionaire Steve Cohen.

But that does not stop them from dreaming. They still dream of things they would have done if the deal got successful. 

Jennifer Lopez got asked about the things she would have done if they successfully bought the Mets

On ‘The Corp’ podcast with Alex Rodriguez and Barstool Big Cat, the Hustler’s actress got asked about many things. Those things included what she would have done if she became the owner of a baseball team. 

Going into her dream, she said the main first step would be to let everyone know what she has accomplished. Then came, “I think you have to really familiarize yourself with who your core audience is, who’s gonna be there all the time, who your real fans are.”

She continued by adding that fans are always the most important thing in everything. Because it’s not only sports but entertainment as well. And everything should be in accordance with them.

Did Alex and Jennifer then try to buy another team?

Alex alone has bought the NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves in association with the billionaire Marc Lore. A-Rod and JLo, not being able to be the owners of the Mets dream, had stopped when they lost out on a bid of $2.3 billion.

Later on, JLo and Alex got separated. But Rodriguez went ahead with his dream of buying a sports team.
