The run for the World Series Championship has started. Just like a typical game of snakes and ladders, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers meander through, in close competition. With Game 1 afoot, there are predictions and analyses of who might pull the Fall Classic in their favor.

One such prediction came from the New York Yankees’ former shortstop and legendary businessman, Alex Rodriguez. As he discussed with his panel boys on MLB Fox Sports alongside MLB Kevin Burkhardt, David Oritz, and former teammate Derek Jeter, he placed his bets on the team that’s a call back to his history with them.

A-Rod shared that the power of the Arizona Diamondbacks cannot be undermined. They might just emerge victorious owing to the high resilience and turnaround they have displayed. However, since the Rangers are playing at Global Life Field in Arlington, they’d employ the home advantage to their win. The ex-Ranger said, “but because the Rangers are at home, I’m gonna go Rangers in 7”. Could the bet on his former team be a good one?

Apart from A-Rod who played for the Rangers from 2001 to 2003, Derek Jeter and David Oritz, each foretold a tight series between the Lone Stars and the Snakes. Given that Rodriguez has one, Ortiz has three, and Jeter has five rings, they were the best ones to use their insights to predict the outcome of the afoot series.

‘The Captain’ said, “Yeah, I mean, it really could go either way, but I’ll tell you what,” Jeter said. “I think the Rangers win this in six.” Oritz, on the other hand, went with a contrasting choice, placing his bet on the Diamondbacks. One can’t help but notice that both the former Yankees vouch for the Rangers. Who will win? Well, it’s worth weighing out the odds.

The Victory Leans Toward The Texas Rangers

The Rangers’ thrilling victory on Friday, Game 1, puts them in position to take a 2-0 series lead. With the help of Corey Seager’s game-tying homer and Adolis Garcia’s walk-off single, the Rangers managed to steal victory in Game 1. Seager equaled the game with two outs remaining, when the D-backs were in the lead. With three more victories, Texas can capture the first title in the team’s history.

With that, Game 2 will be held at the Rangers’ home ground, while Games 3 through 5 will be held in Arizona. It is likely that for Games 6 and 7, the fleet will perhaps return to Arlington. With odds of minus-175, BetMGM has the Rangers as the favorite to win the series. The odds for the Diamondbacks are at plus-145.
