This is an indicator of A-Rod’s value and impact on a baseball team. Best known for his slugging ability, A-Rod ended his professional career in the top-10 HR getters. In addition to this, Rodriguez holds the record for most career Grand Slam with 25, a record that will be difficult to beat. Alex Rodriguez had several fantastic hits and games throughout his career, but there is one in particular that he has highlighted recently.
Which game did Alex Rodriguez highlight?
In a post that A-Rod shared on Instagram, he recently highlighted his favorite game from the 2005 MLB season. The main reason behind sharing his most-cherished moment is from his outstanding 2025 season with the Yankees. Rodriguez said this in the post “17 years ago, I was named AL MVP for the second time and my first in pinstripes. I’ll never forget this magical game from that year, and the reaction from the greatest fans in the world.” In the game, Rodriguez hit 3 Home Runs and had 10 RBIs leading the Yankees to a comfortable 12-4 win.
It was one of A-Rod’s best performances and a rather dominant display of his hitting ability. The former Yankees’ 3rd baseman, however, was unable to lead the team to a World Series that year. Notably, the Yankees were knocked out in the 2005 ALDS by the Los Angeles Angels in a close 3-2 series. Unlike his regular season, Alex Rodriguez had a poor series, batting at .133 and failing to hit a single home run.
