A prolific investor, Alex Rodriguez, is a part of various businesses. Under the umbrella of his investment company A-Rod Corp, the former Yankee has been doing multiple businesses. Although he is a co-owner of the NBA side, Minnesota Timberwolves, A-Rod, while being in a relationship with Jennifer Lopez, failed to pursue the New York Mets’ ownership.

Recently, A-Rod revealed how his failure to buy the Mets inspired him to own a $1.5 billion worth of NBA team.

Around six months later, after A-Rod could not purchase the Mets, he teamed up with ace businessman Marc Lore and bought the Timberwolves. Not to forget that even though A-Rod failed to pursue the Mets’ ownership, he was not alone in that deal. Yes! His ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez was also a part of that deal.

What did Alex Rodriguez say about buying the Timberwolves?

While talking about the financial rationale that went around trying to buy the New York Mets and then NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves, A-Rod explained the dynamic of what actually went behind buying the NBA team. But while doing so, he did mention the failed deal trying to buy the Mets.

“We took a run at acquiring the New York Mets, and we came in second. So we were the second winners,” said Alex. “But as that door shut, about six months later…”.

“We thought the league was a very progressive. It was a global league. There was a tremendous upside in Minnesota. I and my partner Marc Lore, we pulled the trigger very quickly, and uh we’re thrilled with the investment,” A-Rod added.

Shortly after his infamous breakup with Jennifer, Alex Rodriguez partnered with the telehealth brand, “Hims & Hers.” While doing so, he launched the Blur Stick, a concealer targeted toward men.

A-Rod said that it is pretty similar, feels, and looks like the black under-eye grease that ballplayers use around the world. Even though many appreciated Alex for making such a bold move, he also had hatred coming his way for promoting a cosmetic brand.
