Either controversies follow Alex Rodriguez or the former baseball player follows them. A-Rod once landed into trouble after the Biogenesis scandal. Which resulted in him getting banned for 162 games.
While fighting his suspension from Major League Baseball, he landed himself in legal trouble once again. He got into trouble with the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani.

It happened when they were working to revoke A-Rod’s suspension from the Major Leagues. The law firm he worked with sued him for $380,000. While he was still serving his suspension.
While battling one case, how did Alex Rodriguez land up in another?
After the biogenesis scandal, Alex Rodriguez got himself suspended by Major League Baseball. To refute the suspension, he hired the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani. Later on, A-Rod, for some reason, refused to pay the remaining legal fee of $380,000.

Moving forward, he completed his suspension. And then he got sued by the law firm for not paying the remaining legal fee. This battle started when A-Rod was still serving his suspension and lasted for over a year.
Between May 2013 and January 2014, sports attorney David Cornwell, who was a member of the law firm at the time, represented Rodriguez.
However, Cornwell cut ties with A-Rod, when he told all the stuff that he should not have to the FBI.
Money was not the point for A-Rod, as he earns more than that amount in one game. But he had to appear in court and let the judges know the reason behind not paying the impending legal fees of the company.

What was the Biogenesis scandal?
The scandal broke out in 2013. Many players got accused of taking performance-enhancing drugs. Those several people also included A-Rod, whose name was discussed once before when he tested positive for taking steroids in 2003.
But this time, the players got accused of taking PEDs as well as human growth hormones. They, apparently, got it from the now-closed rejuvenation clinic Biogenesis of America.
