Alex ‘A- Rod’ Rodriguez is a name needing no introduction. In fact, the Yankees’ legend’s fame transcends the realms of baseball as well. Be it the games he played, the controversies he’s been a part of, him being the business Moghul, or matters of his personal life, fans remain ever-so interested in almost everything the man does.

The philanthropist often makes headlines with his remarks and comments. Very recently, Rodriguez reflected on the wonderful play New York Yankees star Aaron Judge is having this season. While doing so, he also dropped the names of the greatest players who have played the game in Pinstripes, including his long-time friend-enemy, ‘The Captain’ Derek Jeter.
Alex Rodriguez sings praises for Aaron Judge
From congratulating Judge on every record that he passes through, to reflecting on his career with the New York Yankees, Rodriguez had nothing but praise. A-Rod being a World Championship winner with the Yankees knows about the pressure that comes with the role. According to Alex, the pressure is greater than a person can ever imagine. It can be relentless and sometimes become suffocating as well.

“There is a short list of players who have thrived in that pressure, some of the greatest to ever play this game, Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Reggie Jackson, and the Captain, Derek Jeter,” Alex Rodriguez said.

Furthermore, he said, “Judge understands what it means to carry on that tradition. And more than anything, Judge appreciates what it means to wear the Pinstripes.”

With the 60th homer, All Rise has already tied with the legendary Babe Ruth. With one more, he will tie up with AL’s most home run record holder, Roger Maris. The man is en route to hit more home runs than Maris’ record. And observers of the game are all for it.
How is Alex and Jeter’s friendship now?
Over the years, Alex and Jeter have had a rollercoaster ride. After once being the best of friends, their equation turned bitter. Then, Rodriguez joined the Yankees, and things between them did not get any better.
