But this love for A-Rod isn’t limited to his career in the ballpark. Shortly after he retired from the game, the shortstop entered a relationship with pop sensation Jennifer Lopez, whose popularity and fandom are unmatched.

After meeting for the first time in 2017, for the next four years, the couple bridged the worlds of Hollywood and MLB. After making their first Met Gala appearance in May 2017, in little to no time, they met each other’s children and started celebrating festivals and holidays together.

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez’s engagement became official in 2019. One year later, during the 2020 Thanksgiving holiday, the couple celebrated the festival with each other and their children.

A-Rod uploaded a post on his Instagram account with a heartwarming caption depicting love toward his entire family. He said, “Even in the most challenging of times, we need to count our blessings and celebrate what we have. Be thankful for family. Be thankful for friends…”

Unfortunately, despite how adorable the couple looked, their relationship came to an end in 2021.

A-Rod’s career in the ballpark

For 22 seasons, Alex Rodriguez, who transformed from a shortstop to a baseman, conquered the world of baseball. Concluding his career with 696 home runs, A-Rod’s MLB career pinnacles the idea of offense and slugging. He made his debut as the youngest debutant in Seattle’s history. Following that, he broke various records while signing a contract with Texas in 2001. And finally, he moved to New York for the most successful, controversial, but lucrative segment of his career.

After facing a season-long ban in 2014, A-Rod’s MLB career reached its border in 2016, when he retired with 25 grand slams – most in the history of MLB.

Moreover, A-Rod made 14 All-Star appearances and won three American League MVP awards, ten Silver Slugger Awards, and two Golden Gloves. Besides that, he also won four AL Hank Aaron awards and a World Championship.
