Alex Bregman speaks on the Houston Astros’ aspirations to become the first team since the New York Yankees in 2000 to repeat as World Series champions. Per Mark Berman, Bregman said, “It’s honestly so cool to have the opportunity to do that. Every person in that clubhouse is motivated by it. We can’t wait to get down the spring training started. We know this season doesn’t start in the postseason there’s a long way to go but we’re definitely very excited to be able to have that opportunity. All the guys in there don’t take it very lightly.”

Breman went on to express that the challenge is real, citing the shortened offseason as a factor. But, he adds, This team is built to win championships and as you’ve seen and the character in that room. The guys are ready to go.”
