Sometimes, going with the flow does help out. It certainly did help out the former Yankees, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and Johnny Damon. The New York Yankees won their last world series in 2009, and on the 10th anniversary of that win, Rodriguez reminisced about what transpired the day before. Not only this, the Yankees’ great made sure to let the Red Sox know what a great addition their former player Johnny Damon was to the NY Yankees.

Some people don’t overthink and relax while also working on the things they are good at. Damon was that person, the missing piece of the Yankees who helped them in a great win.
Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez considered Damon as a perfect sauce for the team
While everybody was in the tension of having some sleep and doing well in the world series to win, Damon had no traces of any discomfort whatsoever.
In the locker room, Johnny said to A-Rod,?“Hey, Rod. Let’s go get bombed again in karaoke.”?When Rodriguez further proceeded to call him crazy for thinking such a thing, Damon?said,?“Oh, you’re so stiff. I’m gonna go to Koreatown. I’m gonna get drunk. And we’re gonna win the championship.”
That is what happened the next day. The New York Yankees won their 27th World Series title on November 4, 2009, against the Philadelphia Phillies. A-Rod called Damon a perfect player that brought an element of confidence and swagger to the team without a hint of overthinking.
Rodriguez gets bombed with Damon

Alex?remembered that Johnny had begged him to go out to Koreatown for karaoke the whole year, which he always denied. But when the Yankees beat the Angels in the ALCS, Damon was finally able to convince his fellow baseball player.
Remembering the night, A-Rod said,?“We got bombed. And we came out, and the sun was out. We went in Koreatown, I think we came out of Dominican town. And I was like, ‘Where are we?'”
