Per George A. King III of the New York Post, the then-New York Yankees slugger admitted he got chills when he saw his half-brother in the ballpark. The NY Post report also confirmed that A-Rod’s half-brother, Victor Jr. was an Air Force lieutenant colonel at the time.

When talking about his half-brother, Alex Rodriguez his nervousness while meeting Victor Jr. after years. Notably, A-Rod’s half-brother threw the ceremonial pitch in the game. A-Rod could not stop praising his half-brother for being there in the game.

“He comes out in full uniform,” Alex Rodriguez recalled in 2004. “I am nervous. It’s the first time I have seen him in years. I was the most proud brother in the world. Because he had his hat, his uniform on, and his badges, and we are in the middle of this crisis in this country.”

“He throws the pitch, and I am filled with goosebumps. He gets a standing ovation for two or three minutes, and I give him a big old hug,” he added.
