In 2017, Page Odle, Aaron Judge’s agent, opened up on the Yankee outfielder’s workout regimen and shared some interesting information. Odle shared that Yoga and pilates were an important part of Judge’s everyday training. He said that it helps Judge get over any difficulties and issues he may face as a tall, long-legged athlete.

Per nj.com, Odle said, “Sometimes, long-limbed players have a hard time. The game is tougher on those guys. Because he’s so athletically gifted, he has such fast-twitch (ability), he doesn’t have to swing hard to hit the ball a long way. The yoga and pilates — it’s not most guys’ favorite thing to do, but they’re more important for him than they are for other players.”

The yoga and pilates are paying off as Judge has been hitting the ball with relative ease over the years. Furthermore, he has shown great agility and reaction speed as a fielder. This, among other reasons, is why the Yankees chose to sign Judge to a 9-year $360 million deal. Recently, they even gave him a special position within the team.

Judge was named the next captain of the New York Yankees

Shortly after signing his new deal with the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge was named the Yankee’s next captain. The Yankees announced this during the same press conference where they announced his new 9-year deal according to ESPN.
