The Los Angeles Dodgers, apart from baseball, are also great at rubbing salt! We saw that in action after Mookie Betts made a fun jab all over the FOX crew, namely Derek Jeter, a New York Yankee legend. Betts said to Jeter, “I know you don’t like us right now, but I love you too,” leaving the crew in laughter. Well, it sure must have been a burning moment for the pinstriped fans when their rivals secured the win, but Dodgers stars weren’t done yet, including Enrique Hernandez, who decided to strike.
As the LA Dodgers took to the streets to celebrate their eighth World Series victory, there was a moment that kept fans reeling. Enrique Hernandez had a surprising target in mind—rapper Fat Joe. The Yankee star trolled, or rather thanked, Fat Joe, saying his not-so-good performance was the reason that the Yankees fell short of the win. Well, if you thought that rivalry as a concept is dead, this very much shows, it’s very much alive.

The entire ordeal started when Ice Cube set the stage ablaze at the Dodger Stadium last week. At Game 2 of the World Series, he was adorned head to toe in Dodgers attire, and he delivered a standout performance, singing his classics. There was even an instance when Cube was saying, “Bow Down Yankees,” and that’s when the Yankee starter walked into the mound. Hernandez, referring to Cube’s stellar performance, said, “Ice Cube came out in Game 2, and with his performance, we didn’t need to play the game; we had already won it.” But Enrique Hernandez was only warming up to something else.

In response to Ice Cube, New York tried to rally the Yankees crowd with Fat Joe. But it wasn’t as to plan, as the performance felt flat. Referring to that, Enrique Fernandez said, “Then we go to New York, and this guy used to be fat, and he isn’t fat anymore. His name is Joe. He came out and sang, and we didn’t need to play anymore because after that performance, we had already won.” Sure enough, the Dodgers rode in that momentum to a 4-2 victory, and this wasn’t all the highlight of their celebration. Ice Cube performed again, and it was sensational!

From twerking to tribute—a Dodgers parade to remember
What’s your perspective on:
Are the Dodgers rubbing salt in the Yankees' wounds with their cheeky World Series celebrations?
Have an interesting take?
Ice Cube was back again, only this time to celebrate the team he has been supporting ever so openly. So, the West Coast rap icon took to the stage and sang the classic songs as he had previously. Though his performance was stellar, what stole the show was Dave Roberts’s performance – the manager decided to bust some moves alongside Ice Cube. Somewhere along the way, he transformed into a hype man, even attempting a little twerking. Roberts’s talent may be more in the diamond than on the dance floor, but it sure did explode the crowd to laughter.

Robert can enjoy this viral clip for ages, but amidst all the celebratory chaos, LA Dodgers fans didn’t forget to give a heartfelt tribute to honor, Fernando Valenzuela, the legend. He was the one who led the team to that unforgettable 1981 win, and he was a larger-than-life figure. He would have celebrated his 64th birthday but sadly passed a week ago. So, as the victory parade moved, the crowd started singing “Happy Birthday” to pay homage to their fallen star.
By the time the parade reached the Dodger Stadium, the entire arena was filled with chants of “Viva Fernando!” The Dodgers parade wasn’t just a championship-winning parade; it was a celebration of their spirit and their unity.
