What better way to introduce the MLB to a foreign land than by showing a new country, a game between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox? That is exactly what the MLB did in 2019 when the first MLB London Series was hosted at London Stadium, in London, England. With the Yanks winning the first two games, the MLB London Series was off to a spectacular start.
However, crediting the pandemic, the following years couldn’t house the Route 66 rivalry between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals. Now, three years after the pandemic has settled, and life is moving toward normalcy, MLB will return to England with the iconic Cubs-Cardinals rivalry. And to amp up the experience in London, the former Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez will travel to London to call the Route 66 or I-55 rivalry.

He spoke about London being on his bucket list, and how it would be very exciting to play there. He said, ?Sick. Unreal. Honestly, London is on my bucket list. It’s one of those cities that I’m going to hit when I’m done playing the game. Obviously, I travel a ton. But playing baseball, I’m not necessarily wanting to go to in November or the winter time, so I’m glad we get to get there in the summer.”
