Gender reveals are officially the hottest new trend in MLB right now. The latest one has just melted hearts across the baseball world. While the Cleveland Guardians were busy thrashing the New York Yankees for a second night straight, 2024 All-Star David Fry had more than just one reason to celebrate. Fry, who is still recovering from his off-season elbow surgery, got the sweetest surprise during the game—he is going to be a girl dad yet again.

Plus, the reveal was just perfect—nothing over the top—simply packed with emotion. Fry’s teammate Steven Kwan called time during the game, and then he reached into his pocket and wore a wristband. A PINK wristband! And that said it all. Baby girl no. 2 was on her way to the Fry home.

Guardians did share the moment on X, and fans simply ate up the cuteness!

The 29-year-old already has a 1-year-old daughter and is expected to return as a designated hitter. As per the rumors, maybe by May, Fry should be back. For now, though, baseball can take a backseat for him, as he enjoys this epic milestone. But really, the one pioneering this awesome trend is none other than Bryce Harper. He already did win hearts this off-season with his short vlog videos, (can’t forget the what’s in my bag video) and now his gender reveal idea just amped it up a notch.

One can now call Philadelphia slugger Bryce Harper the OG influencer because he is the one who started this. Harper walked to the plate holding a blue bat that his mate Trea Turner had given him. The bat was a sign that he and his wife, Kayla, were expecting their baby boy, their fourth child. Kayla later even spilled the beans that the couple wanted to be surprised together, so they brought Turner into the mix to help them plan a big moment. And so, Turner handed the bat just moments before Harper’s at-bat.

Also, Steven Kwan might have melted hearts with that pink wristband moment. But don’t let that soft moment fool you—Kwan’s game is anything but soft right now.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Steven Kwan the new MVP contender for the Guardians, or is it too early to tell?

Steven Kwan’s glow-up is great for the Cleveland Guardians

Right now, the Cleveland Guardians aren’t even 25 games into the season, and already Kwan’s making plenty of noise. And all in the right ways. Usually, this early MVP label goes to Jose Ramirez without much thought, right? But this time, Kwan is giving some tough competition because he is the one carrying much of the weight.

Steven Kwan is hitting an eye-watering .341 and getting on base at a .400, and the slugging sits pretty at over .500. The last one being the most head-turning because Kwan’s been known more for his high-contact game than putting baseballs into orbit. But now he is not just doing those singles; he is bringing in the power.

However, maybe this was always in the making of happening. Because if you remember, last year he gave everyone a teaser—a career-high of 14 home runs. Now this year, this version is the deluxe version for sure. He is now tied for third in both doubles and home runs on the team, and given that Josh Taylor is now in Arizona, the timing for him to get hot and hit couldn’t have been more perfect.

Overall, this is great for the Cleveland Guardians, as they have been hit-and-miss this time. So, Kwan’s consistency is the glue they need to keep it all together. However, do you think he might cool a bit, or will he hold onto his newfound rhythm? Let us know your thoughts.
