Aaron Judge constantly impresses audiences with his game and the way he plays. The captain of the New York Yankees has been playing in the major leagues for quite a few years now, and all his seasons have been eventful. Judge has broken years-old records and set new ones of his own. Aside from his accolades in later years, he started with the Rookie of the Year award in 2017.
That year also saw him in the news for another reason. While most of us are used to seeing the 6ft 7in man in pinstripes or suits, Judge made quite the fashion splash in his rookie year. The Steinbrenner family is famous for keeping their players in tip-top shape whenever they’re representing the team. Be it on the field or an interview, Yankees players always look great. But a particular clothing choice left fans appreciating Aaron Judge in a new way.

Back in 2017, after winning a match against the Baltimore Orioles, All-Rise appeared in a funky shirt to give interviews. The brightly colored outfit was based on the classic sports comedy film series ‘The Sandlot’. The series includes three movies, all following a group of young baseball players during the summer of 1962. Seeing the theme of the movie, it’s incredibly fitting that Judge would choose the shirt.
And the possibly random clothing choice led to incredible sales for the company that produced the shirt. TMZ Sports revealed in an article that they spoke to the owner of RSVLTS, the brand that made the Sandlot shirt. And apparently, after Judge’s appearance, the company sales doubled that day! “Long story short … Judge is just as hot in the fashion world as he is at the plate,” wrote TMZ.
A fellow teammate also joined Aaron Judge in the same shirt post the Yankees win
The former left fielder for the Yankees, Matt Holliday, also joined Judge in the same outfit and the two posed for a photo together. Holliday is now retired but had a one-year contract with the Bronx Bombers for the 2017 season. Ex-Yankees player Didi Gregorius posted a picture of the two players standing together with their hands in front.
