Aaron Judge has been in really good form over the last month or so. The Yankees’ captain has led the team as they climb the Al East and aim for a postseason berth. But recently, he snubbed New York in favor of LA shortly before making an incredible defensive play against the Dodgers.

Although most fans and experts have been raving about his batting, Judge has also made key defensive plays. This most recent one was a perfect example as the Yankees captain expressed his love for Los Angeles. 

Aaron Judge likes living in Los Angeles more than New York

New York is home to Aaron Judge. The Yankees’ captain has spent his entire career with the Bronx-based team and looks likely to retire there. But he prefers living in Los Angeles. Judge revealed shortly before pulling off a sensational catch to rob a hit against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In an interview with Mookie Betts on “On Base with Mookie Betts”, he said that he prefers living in LA. The Yankees captain prefers it because he loves the weather and being able to escape the city. 

During the interview, Judge said, “Man, LA for me. I love the weather, I love, like you said, kind of getting out of the city. Like, I love living in the city in New York. But you got to have that little escape man. You know, I feel like when you’re in the stadium all day, and you come back into the city you never really turn it off. But here I feel like you can kind of drive out of the city, you can get lost in those hills man.”

This was a stunning revelation from Judge as he picks LA as his ultimate place to live. But the Yankees’ captain helped his team beat the Dodgers in a comfortable 6-3 win. Judge pulled off a stunning defensive play to prevent a hit. He ran into the fence to prevent Dodgers’ J.D. Martinez from getting a massive hit. He has done this multiple times this year, even denying Shohei Ohtani a home run.

Judge hits his 19th home run of the season

Aaron Judge might be in the headlines for his defensive play, but he continues to smash home runs. He got his 19th big one of the season as he helped the Yankees pick up a crucial win in the series.

Judge’s batting has been crucial for the Bronx Bombers during their great form in May. Furthermore, it will continue to be a big part of whatever this team achieves going forward.
