New York Yankees’ sixteenth Captain, Aaron Judge, made his MLB debut in 2016. Since then, All Rise has won many accolades. His recent one was the top honor as a Pinstriper. The position of Captain was empty since Derek Jeter retired in 2014. Eight years after, the Steinbrenner family made Judge the Captain adding to the many other accolades of the number 99.
But the outfielder might never forget the first-ever award that he got as a Yankee in his rookie year. After hitting 50 home runs in his rookie year in 2017, he won the title of American League’s Rookie of the Year.
After winning this award, he sat for an interview and talked about the people who had left a rather sizable impact on him. For Judge, it was his parents. They also crashed his interview as he talked about his first-ever award won as a rookie.

What did Aaron Judge say about his parents?
For those unversed, Judge was adopted two days after his birth by his now parents, Wayne and Patty Judge. They’re the only parents he has ever known and is grateful for them as well. Not long after the Captain started his interview in 2017, his parents crashed in while congratulating their son and telling him how proud of him they are. Later, after asking a couple of questions, the interviewer asked Judge who are the people beside him and how did they impact his journey to become Rookie of the Year.
After introducing his parents, Big Aaron Judge went on to say, “All the sacrifices they made, the time they put into me, from travel balls little kid, taking me to football camps, basketball tournaments, everything. Words can’t really describe what they mean to me and everything they’ve done for me.”

Judge showed how much important his mother is to him. He did so by giving her his 61st home run ball this year. Over the years, he has talked multiple times about how much his parents mean to him. But those words still won’t suffice for everything they’ve done for him.
How did the 2022 MLB season go for Judge?
All Rise started the year by betting on himself to hit 50 homers. Just like he did in his rookie year. Not only did he hit 50 but also 12 more. With it, he won American League’s MVP title. Then came him becoming a free agent and re-signing with the Yankees for a massive $360 million contract. After which, he got named the Captain of the New York Yankees.
