While the club is taking precautionary measures to ensure the best health for the players, sometimes, it gets tough to just wait and watch. But in Judge’s case, things are different.

Turns out, it’s good news. Thankfully an MRI revealed no serious injury. And it looks like Judge is all ready to ramp up his on-field activity. His words further sounded reassuring, “All I’ll say is, we’re feeling pretty good. Like I said, the MRI came back clean. I think a lot of it was precautionary and no need to risk stuff in spring training. The main goal is to be game-ready for Opening Day, so just going to work toward that,” he added.

On one hand, a specific return date remains uncovered, on the other manager Aaron Boone echoed Judge’s sentiment. He indicated that prioritizing long-term health over rushing the star outfielder back onto the field is a better way to approach this. All in all, Boone confirmed, “He’s doing well”. This speaks volumes of the trust Boone has on the slugger.

The Yankees skipper’s words, “It’s not something we’re concerned with. It’s just making sure that we don’t turn it into an issue so we’re not going to rush anything,” further highlighted the precautions the team is taking to mitigate the risk of an injury in the future. That’s a way to redemption considering how marred their 2023 season was.
The Yankees Get Serious About Protecting the Health of Players
That said, Judge’s return to full strength is extremely crucial for the Yankees’ aspirations to win the championship. His absence, even though brief, sent shivers down spines of fans who could not forget the impact his toe injury had on the Pinstripers last season. Quite a nightmare, it was!

But how did it all start already? Well, after dealing with a troublesome oblique and the earlier mentioned injured toe in his previous season Judge is grappling with discomfort in his abdomen now. Per MLB.com, he shared where he think the problem sprouted from. His words were, “I think just from swinging from November all the way until now, every single day, it put some wear and tear on it.” It’s time to focus primarily on “staying healthy” as Boone highlighted numerous times. With good news on the front of Aaron Judge, one might foresee an optimistic Yankees.
