Aaron Judge’s slump—has become a juicy topic this postseason. Everyone’s been talking about it. When is Judge going to perform like the regular season again? What’s Aaron Boone doing to help his favorite player? Why does Judge struggle in the postseason every time? Yet none of the questions were answered, and the All-Rise still didn’t rise to the occasion for the team when they needed him in Game 1 of the World Series.
In Game 1 of the World Series against the LA Dodgers, Judge went one for five with three strikeouts. And to add to the bee sting, he was out, right after the LA Dodgers intentionally walked Soto to face him. The Yankees suffered a sad loss, and this can shake up the entire momentum of the team. MLB insider Joe Heyman suggests that it may be time to make a lineup change for Judge—before it’s too late for the New York team.

Everyone knows that Aaron Judge is Boone’s favorite player. So it’s hard to imagine that Boone would change the lineup. But he should do something to help his player out of the slump. Because Judge has struggled the entire postseason battling with just a 167 average. So Joe Heyman urges the Yankees, to take a stern step.
“The great Aaron Judge needs to be moved down in the batting order. Not all the way down to the No. 8 hole, a la slumping Alex Rodriguez in 2006. But down to the cleanup spot, anyway,” said Joe Heyman. And given the disaster that unfolded in the first game itself, it won’t be a poor idea for things to shake up on the Yankee side. One good argument for the captain’s demotion is the dominance of Giancarlo Stanton. He has been the star of the postseason. And while Judge and Soto were the IT partners in the regular season, the postseason is for Soto and Giancarlo Stanton.
Stanton’s home run with Soto on base gave the Yankees their first spark in what turned out to be a tough 6-3, 10-inning loss in Game 1. Moreover, Stanton is laser-focused on getting the World Series ring. Plus, he’d say before that if you slip up or make a mistake before him, he will ensure you pay.

No one can blame the men in pinstripes for feeling crushed after Game 1 of the World Series. They dramatically lost the game after Freddie Freeman crushed it with a grand slam in the 10th inning, sealing the win for the LA Dodgers. But New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge wasn’t letting a setback define the rest of the series.

Aaron Judge kept his cool and talked about the loss, saying, “A loss is a loss,” to SNY. Judge added, “I think you guys watched our last series versus Cleveland. Some good back-and-forth games. Gotta learn from it, move on, and get ready for the next game tomorrow.” A confident captain is exactly what the New York Yankees need right now. Because as heartbreaking as the start was, it’s still only the first game in a long series. The Yankees just need to recoup and take on the next game with confidence.
