Though he continues to recover but still nothing is clear about his return. Focusing on the same former Yankees captain Derek Jeter shared a signing prediction for his team.

The Yankees’ offense has struggled in the past few weeks. In the absence of Aaron Judge, it isn’t looking imposing. In the last five games, they have scored only 11 runs, below the big-stage level. As it all happened after Judge’s injury, it points towards the need to fill his place in the team.

The former Yankee captain Derek Jeter has a similar view. While addressing it, he shared a prediction about a signing that could bring back the lost charm for the team. FOX Sports: MLB shared a video clip of Jeter analyzing this situation. The Captain read, “If [the Padres] don’t have a good next couple of weeks, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Yankees go out and get Juan Soto.”

Lets’s analyze why Jeter said so. The Padres have been struggling too, like the Yankees, and are fourth in the NL West. They are currently not in the best of their forms, and if it continues, it could prompt them to look for a change. Provided a good deal, the Padres can even trade players, including Soto. Moreover, Soto is averaging 0.265 with an OPS of 0.898. He has scored 51 runs, 15 home runs, and 47 RBIs. His record is better than most of the Yankees players. He could add to the defense with his fielding skills for the Yankees.

Though the opinion could get a thumbs up from the New York fanbase, the MLB world is unhappy with it.

Fans reiterate that not happening in their response to Jeter!

The MLB world, including the Padres fans, has not received Jeter’s comments well. Reacting to it, they have shared their unlikeness with a popular voice that says not happening. Here are a few of the reactions on the same.
