New York Yankees have produced some of the most iconic players in Major League Baseball. Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Derek Jeter, Joe DiMaggio, and Yogi Berra are only a few to name who have donned the Yankees in MLB. But how about adding Aaron Judge to the same list?
Yes! Under the guidance of Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees have been exceptional in the current season. Given their poor season in 2021, the Yankees have proved everyone wrong in the ongoing season. And a significant reason behind all of this change is Aaron Judge.

Apart from being a top player in the ballparks, Judge’s leadership skill is the key ingredient of his characteristics. The Yankees slugger himself is in a fiery form. He is smashing the ball all over the park in almost every other game. Recently, he joined a rare elite company of the Yankees legends.
Aaron Judge is already a New York Yankees legend
Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Gay Sanchez, these players have ruled an era in Major League Baseball. While playing for the New York Yankees, Ruth, Mantle, and Sanchez created many records in MLB. And equalling them by an individual is humanly impossible. However, the Yankees star Aaron Judge has joined their company for a very particular record.
Notably, Judge is in the form of his life. He has smacked 17 home runs in the 2022 season, that too in his first 40 games. With this outrageous record, Judge has joined the elite company of Babe Ruth (19), Mickey Mantle (18), and Gary Sanchez (18) for smashing the most homers in their first 40 games of the season.

Though the AL MVP will be decided at the end of the season, with the games Judge is having, he is the top contender for the award.
Given there are still over 100 league games to be played this season, it is too early to make the call. But if things go his way, Judge might win the AL MVP Award. Because he has already belted 17 home runs, and in the coming days he will hit more homers for the Yankees.
