What makes Aaron Judge such a great captain? Is it his extraordinary performances or his total trust in his New York Yankees teammates? Those questions have almost always surrounded All Rise. Rarely does a team’s best player also turn out to be its biggest leader but Judge somehow makes that look easy. And now that he is going through a generational run, the captain has once again given credit to Juan Soto and others in his squad.

Things look back on track after the Yankees demolished the Kansas City Royals 10-1. As for Judge, he continued his unreal form by hitting a massive homer (his 25th of the season) to seal the win for the Bronx Bombers. However, this win wasn’t just an Aaron Judge show – nearly the entire Yankees hitting lineup exploded on the scene. From Giancarlo Stanton to Austin Wells, players continued to build up momentum against the AL Central teams.

Apart from Anthony Rizzo, every Yankees hitter reached base at least once in this game. As a result, when Judge was asked about his growing confidence, the superstar couldn’t help but credit his teammates for it. “Confident when I go out,” Judge said in his postgame interview. “Juan Soto in front of you, Verdugo on stand-by behind you makes it pretty easy, pretty simple. Later Judge praised the hitting staff’s commitment to getting an immediate advantage in the game.

“First to come up with two guys on base, it’s just impressive what these guys are doing day in day out,” Judge said. “(it) allows me to stick to my plan, my approach, don’t get too big. Adopt to try to do it all. I don’t get it done, the guys behind me will pick me up so it makes my job a lot easier.

Aaron Judge clearly puts a lot of belief in his teammates. However, one can’t deny that he’s been on a tear as well. His unbelievable form has even led the New York Yankees skipper to enjoy the Judge show like a fan.

After the game, Aaron Boone couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Aaron Judge. This recent surge in form is a testament to his undying belief in the captain. During Judge’s April slump, it was Boone who assured the fans that Judge would be back soon and make opponents suffer. Now, not only is All Rise doing all of that, but he’s doing it in a way not imagined by even the most optimistic of fans.

“I’m trying not to take that for granted,” Aaron Boone said after Judge’s on-base streak extended to 36 games. “It’s a lot of fun to witness.” (via New York Post). It certainly is. The Bronx Bombers have completely moved on from the disappointing series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now with a 48-21 record, they sit atop the league in wins. Could this team continue this march towards the World Series? Or will someone find a way to put breaks on this juggernaut?
