One of baseball’s biggest superstars is also one of its most private. The New York Yankees captain and 2022 MVP Aaron Judge rarely makes headlines due to his personal life. A notoriously private individual, the only way for fans to spot him outside of the ballpark is during some sporting event. Such is his need for privacy that even his teammates have called Judge as being extremely guarded.
All Rise reminds fans of the previous Yankees captain, Derek Jeter. Both of these sluggers tried to maintain privacy in their careers. But it seems like Judge may have even gone one step ahead of Jeter in this case.

There’s no doubt that Judge is probably the biggest star of the current Yankees squad. Whether it be attendance figures or TV ratings, whenever Judge is at bat, they all see a spike. With fans craving for even a small glimpse of this star, it’s a miracle how Judge has always maintained privacy.
Other than an occasional appearance in some sporting events or marathons, Judge prefers to stay incognito. This is the same as Derek Jeter, who was notorious in his heyday for remaining hidden from the world. Such was Jeter’s need for privacy that in his Hillsborough Mansion, he famously built a six-foot wall to keep it guarded.
Yet, unlike Judge, Jeter was never the kind to completely stay quiet with the press. He’d routinely take part in photoshoots and would regularly be spotted in places. But Judge chooses to be different. Rarely do fans see All Rise outside of his work commitments. Most of the time, Judge is found traveling with his wife, and rarely does any personal detail leak about this superstar.

Perhaps that’s why Judge’s status is growing with the Yankees faithful. In him, they see a player who oozes class and professionalism and is rarely seen flustered or frustrated. However, when Judge does come into the news, it sure becomes worthwhile for the fans. Case in point: his recent interaction with New York Giants QB Tommy DeVito.

Tommy DeVito revealed to FoxSports how a few days ago, when he was having dinner at a restaurant, he noticed that Aaron Judge was sitting at a table right next to him. Though DeVito himself is growing popular, at that time he was star-struck and didn’t say hello to Judge. Afterward, when DeVito went to pay, he was informed that Judge tried to pay his tab. “This guy knows who I am?” exclaimed DeVito.
#Giants QB Tommy DeVito was having dinner in NYC last week when Aaron Judge also happened to be there. The waiter told DeVito that Judge picked up his tab.

This incident quickly became popular among the Yankees fans, who started making memes and fawned over Judge’s wholesome gesture. Many express a desire for Judge to be less private, as they believe that if he were more open, they would gain a better understanding of who he is. But maybe it being so rare is what makes it so special.
