After a rather rough start to the season, Aaron Judge is finally making a comeback. Notably, after a record-breaking season in 2022, fans’ expectations of the outfielder went sky-high. But right in the first month of the 2023 season, Judge’s hip injury left them devastated. Now the captain is back and things are looking up. The Yankees have won eight of their last eleven games, if barely. Bronx fans have been dissatisfied with the team but as players slowly come back from the injured list, hopes will be high once again.

Judge, at least, is giving his best. And since Sunday, May 15th is Mother’s Day, he’s playing while honoring his Mom too. Since he often has to play on this special day, he can only show his appreciation through limited fashion accessories. But he makes the most of what he can wear and doesn’t fail to impress.

Aaron Judge rocks pink cleats ahead of Mother’s Day 2023

It’s not uncommon to see MLB players making special gestures for their parents every once in a while. Getting to the majors is not an easy task and players often express their thanks to their families for being their support systems. Judge is the same; he’s previously worn pink socks to celebrate Mother’s Day, as well as some pink and purple cleats that say his Mom’s name on the back.

This year, he’s doing something similar. Bright pink shoes with a white base that says ‘Patty’ on the back. They must have served as a lucky charm for him because the captain homered twice at the last game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

This occasion is always a special one for Judge; when he was just a few days old, he was adopted by Patty and Wayne Judge. “I feel they kind of picked me. I feel that God was the one that matched us together,” he said about them once.

Sweet gestures never go unseen and since Judge has always been open about expressing his love, fans always take notice. The same thing happened when Talkin’ Yanks posted the picture of the cleats.

Of course, some still had comments about his performance as well as the team’s.
