Baseball being one of the oldest games in the history of the USA has not been kind to every player. While some players shined in the game enough to make their way to Cooperstown, the rest fought for their position in the team. There are many players who once showed up as the star player of the New York Yankees but were unable to give their best because he is prone to injuries.

The current Yankees slugger, Aaron Hicks, started the 2022 season of MLB with the great ambition of wanting to hit 30 homers. But as it turned out, he could not be on the roster for the complete season because of a knee injury. Since then, he has been majorly criticized by Yankee fans for his play on the team

The fact that Hicks, in the last couple of years, has not played to his full potential is not wrong. But most baseball fans want to see the player fail instead of being supportive of the player. They are adamant that he won’t be playing better anytime soon.

The fans are not convinced that Hicks might be ready for a good season. One of them doesn’t want him to wear the pinstripes ever again, whereas one thinks he has to make a massive return in the ballpark to gain some respect from the fans. The latter might be true.

How did Hicks play in the last season?

Before ending up on the injured list again, Hicks managed to hit eight home runs with 40 RBIs in his time on the plate. During the 2022 season, the center fielder continued to go through his downward spiral despite having a start full of motivation.
