The New York Yankees‘ mismanagement again comes to light. A team’s management plays a crucial role in its growth; for the Yankees, they play an opposite role. At least from the fans’ point of view. While the season was entirely closed for the Yankees, and fans have been blaming their GM for the team’s downfall, the manager created another controversy.
The Yanks are already out of the season, breaking the hearts of their fans. Even before that wound healed, Aaron Boone again enraged the fans with his statement related to Aaron Judge‘s Offseason surgery. The Yankees captain missed most of the games because of his toe injury and was supposed to have the surgery during the offseason. But the team’s management issue again came to light when the manager opened his mouth about it.

The Bronx Bombers suffered a lot throughout the season, especially after their Captain was out for injury. Aaron Judge playing the entire season might bring a different ending for the team. They might have qualified for the Postseason. Unfortunately, these didn’t happen. While their captain was out for an injury in his right big toe and stated to have surgery during the offseason, the manager claimed he didn’t require any. According to an MLB insider Bryan Hoch, Boon said, “Aaron Judge is not expected to need offseason surgery on his right big toe.”

While this should be one of the biggest good news for the fans, they react opposite. They blame the miscommunication in the team. There’s vital reason behind that of course. While the player, himself claimed toe injuries took the longest time to heal, Boone’s words contradict it. A hardcore Yankees fan even said, for a player like Aaron Judge who’s 6’7 with 300lbs weight, his feet and toes are crucial while entering his 30s. The player even missed most of his 2023 season because of this, after he tore his ligament in June. So, fans clearly highlight the miscommunication among the management and the players.
Aaron Judge is 6’7 and almost 300 lbs and about to enter his mid 30’s here soon. His toes and feet are CRUCIAL for a man his size who generates that much power from his lower half. Why aren’t they getting that surgery done? Is it not as bad as first reported?

However, the GM of the team believed in the Judge’s return and never replaced him. However, this also welcomed criticisms.

During the Captain’s injury the team suffered a lot. Their tables instantly turned. However, even after the four straight loss, the GM refused to change the line up and according to Bryan Hoch he said, he didn’t want line up help as they have powerful hitters. Also, Cashman confirmed he won’t trade Judge and wait for his return. He claimed to have potential hitters to take team to another height.
However, nothing happened as he expected. The teams decaying performance took him to the negative side of criticisms. Fans didn’t have that patience to wait, so they slammed the GM brutally, asking for his removal as well.
