During a recent batting practice session of the celebrated New York Yankees, the captain went above and beyond, reaching out to fans for a small meet and greet.

In one memorable instance, a Blue Jays fan caught one of the slugger’s homers and passed it to a young boy, Derek Rodriguez, wearing a Judge jersey. The next day, the boy and the Jays fan were invited to the dugout, where they caught a glimpse of their hero taking batting practice. 

Little did they know that they would be interacting with their idol very soon. As he made his way down the steps towards the dugout, the Yankees introduced him to the young fan. Suddenly, Judge was there right in front of them, smiling and closing the enormous distance with just one move. It certainly was a surreal moment, one they’ll never forget.
