As the baseball postseason unfolded, statistics became the ultimate storyteller. Hence, performance is the key to outshining other teams and getting to the ultimate championship. The best-of-five National League Division Series 2023 is going to open within a few hours with a thrilling game between two long-time rivals. Throughout the season, they have maintained almost equal statistics, but this final series will decide who will still be in the race to get the World Series title.
As the October campaign progresses toward its ultimate goal, rivalries among the teams are reignited. With that, the coming Saturday’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves again came into discussion. These teams met for the NLDS 2022, and finally, the Phillies took the credit. Considering the repetition of the previous year’s game, fans have been so confused that “it’s hard to cheer.”

The Phillies and the Braves have been arch-rivals for a long time. In the last two MLB seasons, these two teams have faced off 36 times. While winning and losing are part of each game, the most remarkable ones that both teams probably remember were the last four postseason games. The last year’s series started between the 101-win Braves and the 87-win Phillies. While Braves fans have been cheering hard for their team, the latter got the last smile. In this process, the Phillies stopped the season-long journey of their opponent. Fans hope this memory will ignite both teams to give their best this season.

It’s uncertain how much it ignites the teams, but the fans are excited. They have made the season stats list to vote for both teams and how these two teams performed throughout the regular season. The current list surfaced on Twitter shows the Braves are in a higher position right now. While the Phillies are standing at .698 OPS, the Braves are leading at .810.
Even based on their current stats and performance, AZcentral predicted their winning probabilities, where the Braves got 61% votes and lead the table. However, in crucial games, the tables turn frequently. So, no matter their current standing, the upcoming series can turn the table just like the previous year.
Amidst all this, the fans got confused about whom to support. They have been divided into two teams to cheer for their favorites.
Fans Got Divided Into Teams For The Upcoming NLDS
Saturday’s game is an overhyped one, for sure. Fans have already been fighting for their favorite team on social platforms. Though the winner is hard to predict, they still assume it based on their performance this regular season.
Remembering last season’s result, fans react by saying that the Braves are ready to knock out the Phillies.

Some state that previous statistics can’t decide the winner.
These could be the stats from last season, and look who won. Playoff baseball is not a dog-day afternoon in the summer. might as well throw these stats out.

Fans even call it a revenge season for the Braves.
Look folks. This is the matchup the Braves wanted after last season.
Y?all think Philly wanted ATL to clinch the division in Philly a few weeks ago? They didn?t, but it?s revenge season for the Braves anytime they see a Phillies logo this year.
