Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were a massive power couple during the time they were together. The two brought together some massive firepower as a former baseball star and a pop icon. A-Rod and JLo were often seen together at lavish parties, award shows, and other occasions.

They spent a lot of time at expensive places both together and when apart. But when A-Rod was once asked how he and Lopez liked to spend time together, the former Yankee star’s answer will probably surprise most people.

During an interview on the Chicks in the Office podcast in 2019, Alex Rodriguez answered a number of questions about his life at the time. One of those questions was about his perfect date with then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. And his answer may surprise everyone. According to the former Yankee star, he and Lopez liked to stay at home in their pajamas and watch Netflix. It may seem surprising that their ideal date night is not an expensive night out.

While talking on the podcast, Rodriguez said “Uh, well, ideal date night is actually stay home in pajamas and watch Netflix, yeah.” The couple was happy to spend time at home together and watch Netflix rather than go to a fancy, expensive restaurant. It showed that JLo and A-Rod were like any other couple.

The answer was a wholesome reflection on the relationship that they had at the time. But unfortunately, the happiness didn’t last forever. In April 2021, A-Rod and JLo announced their breakup to the shock and despair of many of their fans. The two have remained on cordial terms and even almost met one another under crazy circumstances after splitting up. Since the breakup, both of them have moved on and are in new relationships. In fact, Rodriguez has a different ideal date with his current girlfriend.
