Aaron Judge has become the 16th captain of the New York Yankees and while baseball fans are yet to see his captaincy, Judge’s performance as a player has been outstanding so far. Even though the 30-year-old was not the official captain of the team earlier, he was nothing but exceptional as a leader in the clubhouse. However, being an outfielder is where he excels the most. One of his most iconic moments was beating Cedric Mullins to second base after throwing the ball to Gleyber Torres in a game against the Baltimore Orioles.

But apparently, baseballs aren’t the only thing Judge catches; he’s skilled at catching hockey pucks too. The outfielder once attended an NFL game with his wife, Samantha Bracksieck, and fellow Yankees Anthony Rizzo and DJ LeMahieu in May 2022. The match took place between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins, which the Rangers won.

And Judge caught the puck in the middle of the game!

Aaron Judge can apparently catch anything:

Back in 2022, at the Rangers game, All Rise impressed the audience when he caught a puck barehanded. It was headed straight for him and would have taken him out if it hit his head.

Per Page Six, “During the first period, a puck was rifled right over the glass, right at Aaron, and he barehanded it. It was like a slapshot. It would’ve taken someone out if it hit them in the head, but he caught it.”

The puck flew over the glass and Judge caught it like the pro he is, and didn’t even need mitts! He later handed it to a kid in the stands, the son of Ron Berkowitz, former sports journalist. Page Six reported that Judge also caught a Rangers shirt that he later tossed into the crowd, delighting them.

The Yankees had a fun beer-chugging competition

The young Yanks weren’t quite done having fun yet, as they had a small drinking match with each other. They cheered with their cups together and drank them down fast. First baseman Anthony Rizzo easily beat the other two, with infielder DJ LeMahieu coming in second and leaving Judge for last. The camera showed all the action while the crowd went wild and cheered them on.

While the Rangers won that particular match against the Penguins, it looked like they missed the Yank at their next match as the Penguins won that one.
