Incumbent CEO Musk is under fire for recent moves such as banning prominent journalists from Twitter and more. Most recently he was criticized for trying to stop people from promoting other social media platforms via Twitter.
Musk pulled back the new policy and apologized with a tweet saying “Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes. My apologies. Won’t happen again.” Furthermore, he followed this tweet by posting a poll on Twitter asking users if he should step down as CEO. The results were shocking, to say the least.
More than 55% voted that Musk should step down as CEO
17,502,391 Twitter users voted in the poll that Musk posted on Twitter. And a whopping 57.5% of the 17,502,391 voters said yes. This has led to rumors and speculation as to whether Musk is really going to step down as CEO of Twitter. Furthermore, this is what led to people putting forward their candidates to replace Musk.
