Alex Rodriguez excels at whatever he decides to put his mind to. After an illustrious career of twenty-two seasons with the MLB, Rodriguez hung up his uniform in 2016. But it was only after hitting almost 700 homers, a World Series trophy, and a .295 batting average. He’s just naturally talented like that. And now A-Rod has decided to put his focus on business. CEO of the investment firm A-Rod Corp, the former Yankee is also part owner of the NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves. His business ventures have been successful so far, but of course, everyone makes mistakes every once in a while. And A-Rod seems to have decided to share his knowledge with aspiring businessmen and women.

Alex Rodriguez imparts his learnings to students at Stanford University

The former shortstop has taught at the California school since 2019 alongside Stanford instructor Allison Kluger. He recently shared a video on his Instagram, talking about his fifth year at the school and explaining the details of the course. Rodriguez and Kluger teach ‘Strategic Pivoting to Your Next Chapter’, where they teach prospective students how to shift from one business stage of their life to the next.

After starting ‘A-Rod Corp’ as just a teenager, the retired athlete has been learning to flex his business muscle for decades. After receiving advice from the best in the business, Warren Buffett, Rodriguez has himself grown a vast business empire. So it’s no surprise that people want to hear what he has to say regarding his wins and losses.

Alex founded A-Rod Corp in 1995, purchasing a duplex apartment on the theory that investing his MLB earnings wisely would protect him from the kinds of financial struggles that afflict too many professional athletes,” reads the official founder statement on the company’s page.
