Lenny Dykstra is not one to shy away from voicing his opinion. The 3-time All-Star is a regular fixture on Twitter and is often seen expressing his thoughts on a variety of topics. He recently expressed his dissatisfaction with Twitter CEO Elon Musk and recommended a replacement for him. But Dykstra once expressed his opinion on none other than MLB legend Barry Bonds.
The former World Champion took to Twitter and voiced his thoughts on Bonds. While doing so, he complimented and insulted the Home Run King in the same tweet.

In a Tweet that he posted in 2018, Lenny Dykstra paid a huge compliment to Barry Bonds while simultaneously insulting the Baseball legend. He called the San Francisco Giants legend the best player in baseball history and also made a not-so-nice comment about him as well.

In the Tweet, Dykstra said “Regarding Barry Bonds, a couple things: (1) @BarryBonds was and still is the best player in the history of baseball. (2) Barry Bonds was and still is the biggest dick in the history of baseball.”

This Tweet from Dykstra was his way of saying that no matter the controversies surrounding Bonds, he will be an all-time great. In recent years, the debate on Bonds has been extremely divided due to his usage of PEDs. It is interesting to see Dykstra complimenting Bonds as he once lost a huge award to the Home Run King.
Dykstra had the best season of his career in 1993 but didn’t win the MVP
In 1993, Lenny Dykstra had, arguably, the best season of his career and in any other year, he would have been an MVP. But that year Barry Bonds dominated the league and took home the NL MVP over Dykstra. Bonds had hit 46 home runs that year and largely dominated the MVP race.
